A mini Speed Bump in recovery
I am totally impressed with the Techs, Nurses, Doctors
team and the entire operations at Johns Hopkins. Well…..not so much their
catering department though, who have continued to be extremely inconsistent.
But all that would be a blog post in itself in future.
Have been keeping up with current events mainly through
Facebook links. There is a TV in the room but it is almost hanging from the
ceiling and does not make for comfortable viewing. Really did want to watch
Kamala grilling Barr at today’s Senate hearings but not at the cost of a crimp in my neck.
Anyway, will let you know when I am getting discharged and by then they would also give me a chart of the next six weeks Chemo sessions. You all have been so helpful, kind and encouraging all this while and would have to chip in whenever convenient to cart me to or from the Hospital.
Stay tuned, more in a couple of days

Good luck and am sure you will be ambulatory and on your walks soon. Hoping for the speediest recovery - Piu and Ashis.

Sudhir, I love your blog posts and thank you for keeping me posted. From your beautifully-written posts and the comments left, I feel so much love. It's all because you send it out to the universe that you attract it. With such an amazing support system and a positive attitude, there's nothing that life throws at you that you can't overcome. So stay positive my friend and keep that attitude going. It matters more than you can imagine. Sending you tons of blessings and please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
ReplyDeleteHang in there buddy, 2-3 more days then you wouldn't have to suffer from their culinary skill. Call if you need a ride anytime.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, will be home in no time I am sure.love and hugs.piali and supro
ReplyDeleteThere’s no other thing I could wish for right now, but your speedy recovery. Looking forward to see you at spice again. Lots of love
ReplyDeleteHang in there my brother, you will start feeling better as soon as the drugs begin their work. In my case, the WBC counts kept falling for the first three weeks after the chemo and then they start climbing up each week. You will be walking your 2 miles soon, I am confident. Let me know if you want to watch my play "Terrorist Ki Premika", I will send you the video link. I look forward to seeing you soon. Take care.
ReplyDeleteFeel better Paapu, always on my mind and in my prAyers. You are always so positive and motivate everyone around u to do so. So glad you are my Paapu. Love u and miss you much.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the hospital loves you more than our combined force!
ReplyDeleteChalo aur zor se jaikara lagate hain... ☺️
See you on your 3 mile walk soon bro...!
Dear Sudhir, Welcome home. So happy to hear you are back at home. As you follow news sharing this - this poem is also so relevant now for our adopted country - “Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high, where knowledge is free. Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls. Where words come out from the depth of truth, where tireless striving stretches its arms toward perfection. Where the clear stream of reason has not lost it's way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit. Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever widening thought and action. In to that heaven of freedom, my father, LET MY COUNTRY AWAKE!” Love , Neil
ReplyDeleteFocus on the 'mini' part and you will get well SOON! Not surprised a gourmet chef like you does not like Hospital food. Where are the troops to sneak in the food from Spice Xing?
ReplyDeletethere were always adjustments to my large b-cell protocol in every cycle including infections, new chemo mixtures, ways to raise white blood cell populations. Stay flexible, life is great on the other side of NHL chemo!!!
